Williams Operating Corporation - Barrick Gold located near Marathon in Northwestern Ontario presently requires a: Mill Support Clerk Position Description Reporting to the Mill General Foremen, the Mill Clerk provides administrative support to the Processing Department, including Operations, Maintenance, Metallurgy, and Tailings. This position ensures the efficient handling of administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, preparing requisitions, entering data in SAP, maintaining records, and assisting with general documentation to support safe and efficient mill operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to Processing teams, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Prepare, process, and track purchase requisitions, goods receipts, and purchase orders through SAP.
- Monitor inventory levels, initiate material replenishment requests, and follow up with Supply Chain and Warehouse teams on deliveries.
- Enter and update maintenance work orders, notifications, and equipment history in SAP to ensure accurate and current records.
- Assist with data entry for production, maintenance, and metallurgical reporting.
- Maintain and organize departmental files, logs and safety records both electronically and in hard copy.
- Compile and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed.
- Identify opportunities to streamline administrative processes and improve document flow.
- Provide backup support to other administrative staff as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Assist with Cyanide Code record keeping
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Diploma or certificate in Business or Office Administration preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in an industrial, mining, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for purchasing or maintenance management is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and accountability in administrative work.

About The Team Hemlo has produced more than 21 million ounces of gold and has been operating continuously for more than 30 years. It consists of the Williams mine operation, including an underground mine, and 4mtpa gold processing facility. Hemlo is located about 350 kilometers east of Thunder Bay, Ontario on Highway 17. Situated nearby the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior, Hemlo works closely with our Indigenous communities of Biigtigong Nishnaabeg and Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg and the townships of Marathon, Manitouwadge and White River. An area of extensive natural beauty for all outdoor pursuits from hiking in national and state parks, all types of water sports, hunting, fishing, and camping.
