About the role
This role is ideal for a seasoned animator with a passion for anime series production, particularly those with experience in mature, adult-oriented content. You will be responsible for bringing to life a unique isekai revenge romance story, adapting an original manga into a visually compelling, R21-rated anime series. The project is a full-time contract and offers the flexibility of remote work. The creative vision is rooted in a personal narrative, and you will collaborate closely with the creator to ensure the adaptation remains true to the intended tone and style. A reference poster is available to guide the visual direction, and the project is backed by a substantial budget, allowing for high production values and creative freedom.
Deliverables
- Develop and animate key scenes and sequences based on the provided manga and creative direction.
- Collaborate with the creator to interpret and visualize mature themes in a tasteful, impactful manner suitable for an adult audience.
- Oversee the animation pipeline, from storyboarding and layout to final compositing and post-production.
- Ensure all visual elements align with the established style and narrative vision, referencing provided materials.
- Coordinate with any additional freelance artists or production staff as needed to maintain quality and consistency.
- Deliver completed episodes and assets according to the agreed production schedule.
Requirements
- Proven experience in anime series production, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in mature or adult-themed animation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe After Effects, or similar).
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, character design, and scene composition.
- Ability to handle sensitive and explicit content with professionalism and creative discretion.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Availability for a full-time contract commitment.
- Prior experience adapting manga or graphic novels to animation is highly desirable.
