We are currently seeking aCommercial Analystto join our team!
The total compensation range for this role is:****$90,000.00-$105,00.000
Placement within the range will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The final offer will reflect the successful candidate's background and demonstrated capabilities.
This position is an existing vacancy within the organization.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Forecasting and Analysis
- Working with Finance, Marketing, and Sales to provide insight and update annual forecasts, budgets in addition to the long-range plan
- Maintains up to date analysis of market share and other key metrics for product skus and families
- Prepares and presents monthly analysis on sales performance identifying risks and opportunities by product family, region, territory and customer
- Monitors and reports on retail sales through wholesalers
- Identify and implement new database strategies to support business needs and objectives
- Reviews sales vs. forecast volumes and works with Supply Chain to identify and mitigate potential risks due to changes in market demand
- Monitor the Canadian pharmaceutical market for drug shortages, supply disruptions, and competitive dynamics, providing timely insights to stakeholders
- Maintain and regularly update market shortage trackers and key intelligence tools to assess portfolio risk and opportunity
- Analyze the commercial impact of shortages and market events on demand, revenue, and market share
- Develop and maintain centralized databases and dashboards to support accurate, efficient, and accessible reporting
- Synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights and executive-ready reports for cross-functional teams
- Perform ad hoc analyses and scenario modeling to support strategic decisions
- Supports Sales Managers and Marketing Managers with ad-hoc analysis and project
Contracts/Projects
- Monitor and report on contract compliance
- Act as project member/lead on commercial projects contributing to growth in portfolios and products as well as strategic initiatives
- Works with Sales and Marketing departments to support Salesforce.com
- Using sales reports from wholesalers and internal sales database identifies opportunities in the market for off contract sales
- Internally there is interaction with staff and management of all local and regional internal departments including but not limited to: Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Vigilance and Scientific Affairs as applicable
- Externally there is interaction with executives, marketing and sales personnel and vendors
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of progressive experience working in a contract/analyst role
- Understanding of the Canadian hospital market
- Excellent analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex contract documents
- Excellent Excel skills; SAP experience is an asset
- Experience with Salesforce.com is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines and with all levels of the organization
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Good grammar required. Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels both inside and outside the organization
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft® Office and Power BI. SAP computer experience an asset.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and handle fluctuating workloads
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Excellent continuous improvement skills
- Proven ability to adhere to standards and procedures and maintain confidentiality
- Able to perform duties requiring considerable judgement, high level of organization and initiative under limited supervision and tight deadlines
- Mathematical aptitude is required
- Strong analytical skills required
- Excellent follow up and project management skills
- Sound business judgement
- Ability to prioritize tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
