###Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
###Job Description
This is a leadership position where you will support and oversee Food & Beverage operations across multiple outlets at St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino, including restaurant service, banquets, and casino floor operations. You will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, strong team performance, and an exceptional guest experience.
Your role includes supporting staffing and scheduling, overseeing inventory and cost controls, and contributing to operational improvements that enhance efficiency and service standards. A passion for hospitality, leadership, and guest satisfaction is essential, as you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for all guests.
###Responsibilities
Support and oversee daily Food & Beverage operations across all outlets to ensure seamless service.
Assist in managing staffing levels and scheduling based on business demand.
Participate in department meetings and contribute to the overall success of the Food & Beverage department.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members, fostering a culture of hospitality and service excellence.
Uphold and continuously improve service standards to ensure guests feel valued and cared for.
Engage with guests and support supervisors in professionally resolving concerns, with a focus on guest recovery.
Support financial accountability, including cash handling procedures, labour control, and cost management.
Assist in managing inventory, ordering, and beverage programs.
Oversee reservation systems and support overall guest flow and experience.
Support the planning, setup, and execution of special events and banquets.
Work towards achieving budgeted labour, cost, and revenue goals while maintaining service quality.
Identify opportunities and support the implementation of operational and service improvements.
Maintain a strong understanding of POS systems, supporting updates and troubleshooting.
###Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
A commitment to hospitality excellence and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Previous Food & Beverage leadership experience (supervisory or management level) is required.
A strong understanding of multi-outlet operations, including restaurant, banquet, and casino environments, is an asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive and professional environment.
Strong organizational, time management, and accountability skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
Experience with inventory management, scheduling, and cost controls is an asset.
Serving and bartending experience is considered an asset.
###Conditions of Employment:
Ability to bend, lift, stoop, stand, and walk frequently throughout the shift. Some heavy lifting and carrying may be necessary.
Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures.
Must possess a valid Serving It Right certificate.
Flexible availability is required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must successfully apply for and obtain a BC Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) license to work in the casino.
