About the Role

The Head of Operations will be responsible for the effective day-to-day running of OV’s operations and for embedding robust, scalable operational practices across the organisation. Reporting directly to the COO/CTO, the role holder will be the lead individual responsible for the Isle of Man office and OV’s HQ operations.

Key Responsibilities Include

Owning and coordinating business operations across teams, ensuring the company runs smoothly on a daily basis. Driving quality initiatives, including process definition, documentation, adherence, and continuous improvement. Acting as the operational interface between Customer Success, Technical Support and Engineering to ensure customers are served efficiently and consistently. Providing structured, reliable operational reporting to leadership.

This role requires strong judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to move between tactical execution and longer-term operational improvement.

Ideal Candidate Characteristics

Highly organised, structured, and naturally operationally minded. Comfortable owning detail, but capable of stepping back to see systemic issues. Pragmatic and outcome-focused rather than theoretical. Confident working with technical teams without needing to be a deep specialist. Strong communicator who can bring clarity and calm to complex or busy environments. Credible with both senior leadership and front-line teams. Proactive, with a bias towards fixing root causes rather than symptoms.

Experience

Proven experience in an operations leadership role, ideally in a technology, telecoms, or regulated environment. Experience working in or alongside an MNO, MVNO, IoT, or networked services business is highly desirable. Demonstrable track record of: Improving operational processes and service delivery. Implementing or maturing quality frameworks. Working with support, customer success, and technical teams. Experience producing structured management reporting and operational KPIs. Familiarity with compliance, audits, or regulated operational environments. Education

Degree or equivalent professional experience in operations, engineering, business, or a related field. Formal qualifications in operations management, quality, or service management (e.g. ITIL, Lean, ISO-related training) are beneficial but not mandatory.
