We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Data & Business Intelligence team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions They will play a leadership role in the delivery of innovation & best practices, with a strong focus on data-driven projects including reporting, analytics, dashboards, and data platform enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess core business analysis skills while demonstrating deep expertise in data modeling, BI tools, and stakeholder engagement across data-centric initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
Core Business Analysis Functions
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and collaborative working sessions with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements that drive the development of innovative technology solutions.
- Evaluate the suitability and sustainability of recommended solutions.
- Document use-case & process flows for current and proposed processes, workflows, and data flows.
- Support project lifecycle activities including planning, testing, implementation, and post-deployment reviews.
- Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Data & BI Specialization
- Partner with data engineers, BI developers, and data scientists to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Analyze existing data sources, systems, and reporting tools to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and reporting inventories.
- Validate data outputs and ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of reports and analytics.
- Support data governance initiatives including data quality, lineage, and stewardship.
Skills & qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in data or BI-focused projects.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling concepts.
- Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot).
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear business language.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA)
