About the Role
As a Project Manager in the Water & Sewer Division at Louis W. Bray Construction Limited, you will lead the delivery of essential watermain, sanitary, storm, and civil infrastructure projects across Eastern Ontario. You’ll oversee all phases of construction—from tender to closeout—ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance. Acting as the key liaison between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams, you’ll drive successful outcomes that reflect Bray’s commitment to building people, infrastructure, and relationships.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the project delivery team—including Superintendent, Project Coordinator, and Quality Control Coordinator—to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.

Plan, organize, and manage construction activities related to underground infrastructure, water and wastewater systems, and related civil works.

Develop, review, and approve project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and progress reports.

Monitor project performance, tracking progress against schedule and budget while proactively managing risks and implementing corrective measures.

Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with scope, specifications, and quality standards.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and municipal representatives, ensuring expectations are met and communication remains clear and consistent.

Prepare and review bi-weekly project reports summarizing progress, costs, forecasts, and key project updates.

Ensure all necessary permits, documentation, and submissions are obtained and maintained.

Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to promote and uphold a strong culture of safety on every project site.

Support business development efforts by maintaining positive client relationships and identifying opportunities for future work.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on watermain, sanitary, and storm sewer projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of underground utility installation, sequencing, and municipal infrastructure standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams while maintaining cost and schedule control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and related construction management tools.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites within Eastern Ontario.
