Job Location: Brucejack Camp Workplace Type: Onsite Pay Grade: Level 1 Closing Date About Brucejack Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. Your impact When opportunities become available, you will lead underground electrical maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient support of production and critical infrastructure. Your leadership will directly influence safety performance, equipment reliability, and team development underground.
As part of our team you will
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day underground electrical maintenance activities
- Prioritize and execute planned work in collaboration with Operations, Planning, and Reliability teams
- Supervise underground electrical trades, ensuring safe and efficient task execution
- Troubleshoot electrical issues impacting production equipment and infrastructure
- Conduct field inspections to verify work quality and compliance with site standards
- Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership and Critical Control Verifications
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Support preventative maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members
Prerequisites for your success in this role
- Red Seal Electrician certification
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience (Supervisor, Lead Hand, Acting Supervisor)
- Proven experience in an underground mining environment
- Strong knowledge of underground electrical systems and safe work practices
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues in a production-critical setting
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Physically able to work underground, lift up to 50 lbs, and work 12-hour rotational shifts
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, fitness-for-duty, and drug & alcohol testing
Your work environment
- Remote, camp-based setting at Brucejack Mine
- 13 days on / 13 days off rotation (with travel days)
- Rotating 12-hour shifts, including days and nights
- Underground mining environment requiring full PPE
- Collaborative work across Maintenance, Operations, and Projects teams
