Pricing Manager
Overview The Pricing Manager is responsible for executing advanced pricing strategies to optimize revenue and profitability across the company. The incumbent collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product Management to align pricing strategies with business goals, conducting data analysis to assess effectiveness and adjust as necessary. Key responsibilities include overseeing pricing models, managing pricing discrepancies, maintaining competitive margins, and providing strategic analysis to the executive team.

Responsibilities Pricing Strategy
- Execute and improve pricing strategies to optimize revenue and profitability.
- Develop and make adjustments based on market intelligence, executive direction and data analytics.
- Assist Sales, Branches, and Product Managers with implementing pricing strategies.
- Regularly review pricing to ensure accuracy and consistency across products and customer segments.
- Look for ways to enhance gross margin within the existing price strategy and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to align strategies with market dynamics.
- Conduct pricing experiments and A/B tests to determine optimal price points.
- Support Sales teams in developing pricing proposals and customer negotiations.
- Train Sales teams on pricing strategies, tools, and tactics.
- Partner with Sales Operations, Procurement, and Quotations teams to understand cost bases.

Market Intelligence
- Perform trend analysis and web scraping.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing opportunities and customer preferences.
- Monitor competitor pricing trends and identify risks/opportunities.
- Create mechanism to monitor competitor pricing trends.

Customer Rebate Management
- Perform semi-monthly rebate analysis and submit projections to finance.
- Assist in developing “Rebate In” profitability tools/reports.
- Review processed rebates and ship-and-debits for accuracy.
- Create customer rebate programs.

Price Adjustment and Data Management
- Review and analyze price overrides for appropriateness.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to reduce unnecessary overrides.

Product and Data Analysis
- Heavily system driven.
- Define and deploy high-level performance metrics.
- Analyze sell prices for negative margin issues and recommend solutions.
- Deploy non-list margin tables.
- Manage customer quote reviews and review Customer Quote Master Dashboard.
- Collaborate on product categorization and customer pricing adjustments.

Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Economics.
- Proven experience in pricing strategy development and execution.
- Strong understanding of pricing concepts, methodologies, and tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and pricing analytics.
- Solid understanding of business, market dynamics, and competition.
