What You Will Do: As an Electrical Technician at Enbridge, you will be responsible for the safe and effective maintenance, repair, and operation of assigned electrical and instrument equipment. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Calibrating various process instruments such as Emergency Shutdown Devices, Densitometers, and Transmitters.
- Assisting in the maintenance of PLC and supporting systems.
- Completing and detailing preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Handling the maintenance, operation, and repair of electrical equipment up to 5 kVA, including Switch Gear, Mainline Pump Motors, Booster Pumps Motors, Tank Mixer Motors, Metering Facilities, and Mainline Valves.
- Switching electrical gear up to 115 kV.
- Reviewing electrical drawings and ensuring accuracy by marking up and recording drawings and other records.
- Participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Championing and visibly demonstrating dedication to Enbridge values.
Who You Are: We are seeking a candidate who meets the following qualifications:
- Holds an Electrical Technology Diploma and/or an Electrical Journeyman Certificate (309A).
- Possesses a minimum of 2-5 years of industrial-related experience with well-developed troubleshooting skills.
- Holds a valid driver's license and has a good driving record.
- Has experience with High Voltage up to and including 115 kV (an asset).
Working Conditions:
- 20% Office Environment.
- 80% Field Environment.
- Frequent travel to remote stations, main line valves, and delivery Take Off compounds.
- Moderate physical and mental stress due to occasional tight timelines, field environment climate, and scheduled on-call duties.
