About the role
Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist
City Centre Animal Hospital is looking for a Full-Time or Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! We’re looking for someone who is warm, organized, confident, and genuinely enjoys helping people and their pets, with availability to work both evenings and weekends. Wage is flexible and will be based on experience and qualifications.
Our reception team is the first and last impression our clients have of the hospital, so we’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment and can confidently multitask, communicate with clients, and support the team throughout the day.
What You’ll Be Doing
Greeting clients and patients with a warm and welcoming attitude
Answering phones, emails, and client inquiries Booking, confirming, and managing appointments Checking in and checking out clients efficiently and accurately Processing payments and maintaining accurate client accounts Communicating with DVMs, RVTs, TAs, and the rest of the hospital team Assisting clients with food, medications, products, and general questions Following hospital booking and reception protocols Monitoring appointment schedules and helping manage client flow and wait times Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Assisting with retail and inventory-related tasks when needed Supporting the team with general mid-day and closing tasks Providing exceptional client service while maintaining professionalism during challenging situations
We’re Looking For Someone Who
Has previous veterinary reception or customer service experience
Is confident, friendly, and comfortable communicating with a wide variety of clients Is highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Has strong attention to detail and accuracy Is comfortable handling payments and client accounts Works well independently but is also a strong team player Takes initiative and looks for ways to support the team Can remain calm and professional in stressful or busy situations Has a positive attitude and genuinely enjoys working with people and animals
