About the role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Warehouse. Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre. Tasks: Evaluate daily operations . Monitor department's performance. Plan and organize daily operations. Supervise staff. Train staff. Manage finances or budget. Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit. Ensure transport compliance with regulations. Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods. Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods. Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue. Organize and maintain inventory. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Large workload. Work under pressure. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
