About the role

Asbestos Laboratory Mississauga ON Ready to take your career to the next level? Pinchin is looking for a Laboratory Analyst to join our dynamic Asbestos Lab in Mississauga, ON! Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate lab analysis and maintaining the highest standards of quality. This position is perfect for detail-oriented professionals with strong microscopy skills and a passion for precision in laboratory work.

A Day in life of a Laboratory Analyst at Pinchin:

  • Perform analysis of building materials and insulation samples for asbestos content by Polarized Light Microscopy
  • Entering data and preparing reports
  • Quality control of samples from both internal and external sources

What You Bring To The Pinchin Team

  • Diploma or university degree in a related discipline
  • Strong background in laboratory procedures and/or microscopy
  • Ability to differentiate the full spectrum of visible colour
  • Knowledge of Polarized Light Microscopy and Optical Mineralogy will be considered as asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) will be considered an asset
  • Be detail-oriented, able to develop and maintain a highly organized work environment, and to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work in a busy environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
