Make your mark for patients We are looking for a Business Analytics Lead to supportcommercial operational excellence within our Insights to Impact team based out of UCB Canada in Oakville, Ontario About The Role You will work as a dedicated Business Analytics Lead in close collaboration with Patient Impact Teams (Commercial & Medical) to enable data-driven decisions.

What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities:

  • Market & Insights: Develop a deep understanding of the Canadian market and therapeutic areas (Rheumatology, Dermatology, Epilepsy, Myasthenia Gravis); generate actionable insights and deliver analytics solutions to address key business questions.
  • Launch & Strategy: Drive and support launch readiness strategies and project follow up for new products and indications in collaboration with local teams and regional stakeholders, including the Intercontinental Analytics community.
  • Performance & Forecasting: Manage performance through robust insights generation and support accurate forecasting, ensuring reliable projections to guide both strategic and operational decisions.
  • Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with Canadian and Regional Stakeholders to implement strategic imperatives and foster business thinking through holistic, end-to-end analytics.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Partner with Patient Impact Teams (Commercial & Medical) to identify analytical needs and deliver solutions that drive informed business decisions and maximize patient impact.
  • Translate Canadian business requirements into analytics solutions that are consistent with regional and global standards, ensuring alignment and scalability.
  • Integrate and analyze multiple data sources (such as sales, activity, market research, financials and field insights) to generate actionable analytics and business insights.
  • Leading the forecasting of sales volumes and patients, analyzing key drivers of growth to support strategic planning and operational excellence.
  • Support business review meetings by providing analytics and insights; promote the adoption of centrally managed analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI, Qlik Sense, Veeva), while tailoring outputs to meet local needs.
  • Optimize Go-To-Market strategies by contributing to initiatives in targeting, segmentation, field-force optimization, incentive plan design and execution, and campaign analytics.
  • Drive the articulation and implementation of the local data strategy in conjunction with the Intercontinental team, ensuring the analytics data strategy remains in tune with business needs and enables optimal insight creation, including the management of local data vendors.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across departments such as Market Access, Medical, and Real-World Evidence (RWE) to enable holistic solutions for patient impact.
  • Translate global and regional objectives into actionable local plans and regularly monitor progress to ensure alignment and achievement of business goals.

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • MSc in Biotechnology, Economics, Financials or Medical related university degree
  • 5-10+ years experience in consultancy, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare sector
  • Excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical G2M data landscape
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good business acumen
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $ $119,200 - $156,450. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
