Position overview
We’re looking for a hands-on builder who can design and scale a high-cadence content and social engine that ladders directly into company growth and strengthens our brand. You’ll be in the weeds creating briefs, testing narratives, and driving rapid iteration cycles - ensuring our content system not only fuels measurable outcomes but also builds brand consistency and resonance in every market.
At the same time, you’ll help shape Karrot’s marketing strategy so it’s seen by millions of people across the US and Canada every month. You’ll own our organic, social, and paid content strategy and help shape how a $25M budget is deployed across channels, creative, and experiments to win the market.
Key responsibilities
Content Engine Development
- Build and manage a repeatable system for content briefs, production, and UGC/creator partnerships.
- Ship and test rapidly - narratives, hooks, offers, and formats - at high velocity.
- Ensure the system not only scales into the broader company growth engine but also reinforces and evolves the brand consistently across every touchpoint.
Strategy & Narrative
- Own the cross-channel organic and social content strategy that ladders into brand and business goals.
- Partner closely with Growth, Product, and Ops - aligning content to proven loops, not abstract personas or demographics.
Experimentation & Learning
- Drive constant test/retest cycles with clear hypotheses, metrics, and iteration.
- Ensure attribution, incrementality, and funnel measurement are clean and actionable.
- Translate results into repeatable playbooks for the team.
What will help you succeed
- You think from first principles, move fast, iterate even faster, love being immersed in the problem until it’s solved - and you like to win.
- 3–5 years’ experience in growth or marketing for a consumer app/marketplace, with ownership of cross-channel programs - and a clear understanding of how the individual pieces fit together to build a cohesive growth engine.
- Entrepreneurial experience is a must
- you’ve started something on your own or with partners, brought it to market, and achieved proven outcomes. You know what it means to sell, not just build, and have owned results end to end without a safety net.
- Sharp brand instincts with performance rigor
- you craft resonant stories and can prove impact in the numbers.
- Hands-on operator across key channels (paid social/search, social/creator/UGC, SEO, content) and data-driven (dashboards, cohorts, incrementality testing; SQL a plus).
