Description Under general supervision, the incumbents assist full-time staff perform various maintenance functions including:
Typical Duties The following illustrative tasks indicate the level of skill required, and the extent of responsibility invovled in this job. They in no way limit the incumbent to the tasks indicated.
- Trimming, cutting, and watering grass, shrubs and flowers
- Raking leaves and laying sod
- Preparing ground for planting
- Planting flowers, shrubs and trees
- Working on campus cleaning details
- Performing all maintenance and cleaning duties
- May operate landscape equipment, vehicles and trucks
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications Minimum Requirements Education
- Completion of grade 12 or equivalent
Experience
- Related work experience preferred
Other
- Physical ability to perform labourious outdoor work
- demonstrated ability to communicate effectivelyin English (verbal and written)
- willingness to work outdoors under all weather conditions
- Ontario Full "G" Class Drivers Licence preferred but not required
