Like most in the social services sector, arc programs is an equal-opportunity employer. We embrace diversity and ensure everyone on the team demonstrates cultural safety and sensitivity of all populations we serve.

But we believe there’s more to our work culture that promotes high levels of employee satisfaction and retention…

We are inclusive.

We are ever-evolving.

We recruit and retain highly skilled staff and support their development through training, education, research, best practices, and innovation.

We foster a culture of continuous learning and lean into diverse perspectives, encouraging all voices to be heard and honoring the wisdom of Metaptmumk - 'all-around seeing,' a multidimensional way of knowing, doing and being that reinforces positive, reciprocal relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples, while decolonizing western knowledge and supporting an intersectional lens to cultivate warm, reciprocal relationship - while engaging meaningfully with the provincial community social services sector, Indigenous communities and agencies.

About arc programs

Individual and Family Services
11-50

Who we are arc programs is a multi-disciplinary social services agency established over 35 years ago to bring about equity, inclusion and belonging in our communities. Our specialized support extends to children, youth, families and adults – who’ve historically been marginalized by systems and colonial ways. Simply put, we help families and folx in conflict. We aim to breakdown barriers, reduce stigma and elevate voices. By fostering right relations and forging connections to the right people and programs, we strive to create caring communities across BC’s Interior through a lens of possibility, not disability.

What we do arc programs has a bold vision to ensure everyone in our communities feels connected and cared for. Our programs and services are designed to support children, youth, families and adults with diverse needs. Complex issues such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), mental health or substance use, require complex support. And navigating the system to find it can be daunting. We’re here to make sense of it all, by working alongside parents, children, youth and adults on their journey towards hope and healing.

Our work culture We are inclusive. We use an anti-oppressive lens to inform our work with folx of all cultures, races, ethnic backgrounds, disabilities, neurodiversity, sexual orientation, gender identity, expression, socio-economic status, religions, and other oppressions to enhance our approach to equality. We are a employer of choice in the social services sector. We recruit and retain highly skilled staff and support their development through training, education, research, best practices, and innovation. We foster a culture of continuous learning, utilizing a two-eyed seeing approach – incorporating the strengths of western knowledge and Indigenous Knowledge: ways of knowing, doing and being – while engaging meaningfully with the provincial community social services sector, and Indigenous communities.
