Hatfield is seeking a Digital Automation Specialist to join our Information Services and Technology (IST) team. The successful candidate will join our team and support the deployment, integration, and adoption of new digital tools and business intelligence reports.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to understand their needs through evaluating business processes and information needs, gathering requirements and identifying opportunities for optimization and automation across back-office teams and environmental projects. Provide cost benefit analysis and multiple implementation options.
- Designing, developing and maintaining solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, etc.) and other technologies.
- Collaborate with contractors and other staff working on digital automation projects.
- Test, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with existing automation and reporting systems, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Provide end-user training and maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the design, implementation, and deployment process.
- Research and stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in digital automation, robotic process automation, AI and related technologies
- Occasional after-hours work may be required to maintain the integrity and efficiency of our IT systems.
Education and Experience
- Formal education in Information Management or Information Systems.
- 1 – 3 years of experience.
- Experience evaluating business processes and gathering requirements.
- Experience developing and implementing digital automation and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (especially PowerApps and PowerBI).
- Experience with shell scripting (ie PowerShell and Bash scripting).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Other Assets/Skills
- Experience with human-computer interaction (HCI) usability techniques and user experience (UX) design.
- Experience with REST APIs (including developing Power Platform custom connectors and working with the Microsoft Graph API), Power Platform ALM, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Dataverse.
- Data integration and data pipeline experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central.
- Experience with database driven mobile and web-app development.
- Experience with Power Platform Build Tools including Power Platform CLI Build Tools, including Power Platform CLI for DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
