Reporting to the Master Data Control Manager, the Master Data Control Analyst is responsible for working with business users and IT to provide hands-on support for enterprise master data management to improve the visibility, trust and value of enterprise data assets at West Fraser. This role is currently Hybrid (3 days in the office) which is subject to change.
You'll do:
- Maintain and update master data records in adherence with internal controls and best practices
- Query, analyze and update master data records to attain completeness, accuracy and achieve compliance
- Document data lineage, master data processes and develop controls to ensure data integrity and alignment with established business rules and standards.
- Initiate data quality improvements, collect/document data quality rules and report on data quality metrics
- Promote data quality improvements, collect/document data quality rules and report on data quality metrics
- Improve, automate and create efficiencies in the master data process
- Collaborate across all internal departments when data integrity issues arise and assist in the research and resolution efforts of those issues
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of previous experience in master data management, including experience with data governance and data quality
- Excellent data management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data analysis techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate issues, present analysis, and propose solutions
- Demonstrated critical thinking, project management and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels, responding professionally and proactively
- Ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal supervision
Compensation Package:
- The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $82,000 and may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
