Boss Lubricants is a leading wholesaler and distributor of premium industrial and commercial lubricant products, serving customers throughout Central and Western Canada.
As part of our ongoing growth strategy and our commitment to maintaining our position as the largest independent manufacturer of lubricants and greases in Western Canada, we are looking for an energetic, self-motivated Warehouse/Class 3 Driver to join our team.
SCOPE
This position is a blended position where the incumbent will mostly work in the warehouse and will do deliveries when needed. This person will represent our company in a professional and cost effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare Products
- Stage and prepare totes, drums, kegs, and pails for delivery to ensure accuracy and readiness for shipment.
- Pick and fulfill customer orders efficiently, following established procedures and quality standards.
- Support the front office by providing product information, resolving order issues, and assisting with special requests.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, assisting with stock counts and restocking as needed to ensure product availability.
- Load and unload trailers and delivery trucks safely and efficiently to ensure timely movement of products.
Vehicle Maintenance, Safety and Delivery
- Operate and drive company trucks to transport goods and materials and make deliveries as required.
- Perform daily/routine vehicle inspections and identify and report any safety or maintenance issues.
- Monitor vehicle condition, performance and mechanical fitness, including but not limited to inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs.
- Report any special customer needs, special conditions or issues back to the Branch Manager.
- Ensure cellular phone is always charged and operational.
Vehicle Administration
- Produce accurate paperwork, reports and logs on vehicles as required in a timely manner.
- Ensure all paperwork regarding TSD requirements is accurate and updated daily.
- Produce all necessary documentation (DL, DA) for appropriate certification according to company and DOT requirements.
- Assist with the placarding of delivery vehicles and the necessary paperwork to ensure they meet company and government requirements.
- Ensure Fuel card, drivers’ license, insurance slips are available and easily accessible.
Customer Service
- Maintain a courteous, professional and positive attitude when dealing with both internal and external customers.
- Follow and support safety practices within the workplace and address any safety issues or concerns with the Branch Manager.
- Maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance and wear appropriate company apparel.
- Ensure any communication between yourself and the customer is clearly understood
- Accommodate customer requests as best as possible, going above and beyond the customer’s expectations where possible and report back to the Salesperson when expectations are unmet or unclear.
- Other duties as required.
