About the role

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior IT Specialist, HCM on a permanent basis on our Technology team. This position is a remote opportunity and can be based anywhere across Canada.

We’re looking for an experienced HCM systems expert who can translate complex business needs into secure, scalable, and well-designed Oracle HCM and UKG solutions. This is a key opportunity to lead system enhancements, strengthen governance, and shape the future of our HR and workforce management technology. What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of Oracle HCM Cloud and UKG solutions, optimizing workflows and ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Administer role-based security, conducting audits and remediation to maintain compliance and proper access controls.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert, resolving incidents, troubleshooting defects, and documenting solutions as part of a technical support team.
  • Plan and execute system refreshes, data migrations, and releases, overseeing change control and cross-environment testing.
  • Collaborate with other IT integration teams to maintain accurate, synchronized data interfaces across HCM and enterprise systems.
  • Partner with vendors and HR, Payroll, and IT teams to manage updates, provide training, and support system adoption and maturity.

The Team: You will work closely with system analysts on the HCM IT team and will report into the Senior Manager, HCM IT Applications.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Information Technology and:

  • Have 6–9 years of progressive IT experience in HCM application support, configuration, and administration, with strong expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud and UKG Dimensions. Certifications in Oracle HCM Cloud, UKG Workforce Management, or cloud security would be considered an asset.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have a proven ability to administer, develop, and optimize enterprise HR applications.
  • Have a strong understanding of role-based access control (RBAC), application security, and data governance principles.
  • Have experience designing, testing, and implementing new functionality and system integrations.
  • Have familiarity with APIs, data migration tools, and cloud change management processes.
  • Are proficient in troubleshooting and resolving application performance and integration issues.
  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
