Profile
The Project Manager will work directly with the Engineering teams and liaise with staff from all internal departments including Procurement, Programs, Production, Technical Support, Spares, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Finance. The Project Manager will also interact with customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects dealing with changes to the baseline aircraft, options, and in-service requests.
- Manage project schedule, budget, quality of Engineering output, and risks.
- Be responsible for leading projects from Kickoff to successful Implementation in Production and/or In service.
- Provide Project leadership for resolution of issues & coordinate multi-discipline activities.
- Project manage aerospace certification requirements
- Chair, Coordinate, and support technical reviews, and project reviews. Communicate minutes, actions, and risks. Identify scope creep.
- Manage and develop strong functional, supplier and partner relationships.
- Responsible for creation and on-going review of Estimates vs Actuals along with capacity planning for your Projects in conjunction with Engineering Management until Project completion
- Ensure quality and risk management, as well as governance and team coordination of the programs to comply with company strategy and targets.
- Apply project management, and appropriate business practices in managing internal and external work enabling satisfaction of project outcomes.
- Support Governance requirements and ongoing update of systems to ensure Project details are current and clear.
- Participate in intra-company coordination supporting the efficient execution of work activities.
- Ensure application of professional standards and company processes are followed in accomplishing work activities.
- Support Project Management initiatives, involvement in process evolution, and implementing new project tools to align with business requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Project & Change Management with minimum of 8 Years of experience, within a multi-function, multi-level organizational environment.
- Project Management experience in an Aerospace related environment is considered an asset.
- Experience in new aerospace certification programs.
- Previous experience with managing multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in Project & Change Management with minimum of 8 Years of experience, within a multi-function, multi-level organizational environment.
- Project Management experience in an Aerospace related environment is considered an asset.
- Experience in new aerospace certification programs.
- Experience quantifying schedule risks, budget risks, and technical risks, with mitigating controls.
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience project managing within a regulatory framework is considered an asset.
