The Opportunity

Position Status: Temporary Part Time Term Ends: December 31, 2025 Location: Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre, EQuaL 1W BW Hours: 62.00 FTE: 0.80 Shift: Days Shift Times: 0700-1515 Union: AUPE Aux Nursing Rate of Pay: $28.78 - $36.12 PCN: FAN1WLNRAI01

Date Competition Closes: July 31, 2025 Position Summary: This position is responsible for collaborating with the interdisciplinary (ID) team to complete the comprehensive RAI Assessment accurately and at specified time periods. Key responsibilities include managing RAI processes and completing RAI Assessments. The RAI Assessor is a regulated member of the ID team who is accountable for performing RAI related responsibilities in accordance with established policies and in compliance with Continuing Care Health Service Standards (CCHSS), Canadian Institute of Health Information (CIHI) standards, and Alberta Health Services. In keeping with Carewest’s Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care and Carewest policies this position maintains professional and ethical standards at all times. Responsible for other related duties as required. This position will report directly to a Client Service Manager for their performance within the ID team and day to day accountabilities. The RAI Assessor will also be accountable to the RAI Coordinator all RAI training, standard workflow, communication, and performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduation from a recognized LPN program
  • Professional Registration: Current LPN in good standing with CLPNA
  • Preferred: Completion of RAI education
  • Preferred: Continuing Care Facility Living (CCFL) Nurse education
  • 3 years nursing experience with RAI Assessment and long term care is preferred
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, organization, and time management skills
