About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a relationship-driven fundraising leader to advance philanthropic growth across Western Canada. In this role, you’ll lead major and leadership giving initiatives, strengthen the donor community, and work closely with volunteer leaders and national colleagues to position the organization for long-term success. You’ll be part of a collaborative, mission-focused team dedicated to driving meaningful impact through philanthropy.

This is a unique opportunity to make a difference while building strong donor relationships and leading strategic initiatives across British Columbia, Alberta, and beyond. You’ll represent the organization in key philanthropic circles, create compelling engagement strategies, and help shape the future of giving in Western Canada.

What’s in it for You

You’ll join a culture that celebrates collaboration, curiosity, and excellence, working alongside passionate colleagues and volunteer leaders. The role offers professional growth, exposure to high-level donors, and the chance to contribute to transformational initiatives. With a competitive compensation package and generous benefits, you’ll be supported to thrive while making a lasting impact.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll develop and execute regional fundraising strategies to grow major and leadership gift revenue across Western Canada.
  • You’ll manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, guiding relationships through the full giving cycle.
  • You’ll create personalized engagement and solicitation strategies that align donor interests with organizational priorities.
  • You’ll serve as the staff lead to Vancouver and Calgary Chapters, providing coaching, strategic guidance, and fundraising support.
  • You’ll represent the organization in the philanthropic community, building visibility and credibility across key networks.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive fundraising experience, with success securing major gifts (six- and seven-figure level preferred).
  • Proven track record managing and growing a major gifts portfolio and achieving ambitious revenue targets.
  • Experience mobilizing senior volunteers and boards in fundraising activities.
  • Strong knowledge of Western Canada’s philanthropic landscape and key communities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate organizational impact into compelling donor narratives.
  • Proficiency with fundraising CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge NXT) and pipeline management.
  • Willingness to travel across Western Canada as required.
