Safety-Kleen in Breslau, Ontario, is seeking a Lab Technician to join their safety conscious team! You will be responsible for the routine analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties in a production environment.

Responsibilities
- Performs analysis of samples following prescribed procedures.
- Utilizes instrumentation and bench techniques
- Completes all paperwork associated with the analysis in a neat and timely fashion
- Ensure that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines.
- Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures
- Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health & Safety and Compliance protocols.
- Works under the direct supervision of Lab Chemists.
- Responsible for maintaining valid training files for all applicable laboratory SOPs
- Responsibility for housekeeping and maintenance of Good Lab Practices
- Responsible for adherence to all applicable Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma – Science Related
- Required to be able to wear a respirator in case of emergency
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to take direction.
- Good communication (written/verbal) skills.
- Good organization skills.
- Initiative
- Solid understanding of math, chemistry and chemical testing.
- Proficiency in Windows based applications
