We’re looking for our next Specialist, Operations Enablement Reporting. Could It Be You?

The Specialist, Operations Enablement Reporting is a key contributor responsible for the day-to-day execution of Questbank’s data modernization strategy. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations Enablement, this individual focuses on the technical build and maintenance of a "single source of truth" for operational data.

The Specialist transitions manual reporting into automated workflows, ensuring that data across all areas of operations is accurate, timely, and accessible. While the Senior Specialist sets the strategic architecture, the Specialist thrives in the "engine room"—cleaning data, building dashboards, and ensuring the health of the bank’s reporting ecosystem is visible to Operations Managers in real-time.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Data Integration & Maintenance: Support the consolidation of disparate data sources into a unified architecture; work to eliminate "data silos" by ensuring data cleanliness and consistency across all operational reports.
  • Dashboard Execution: Build and update automated dashboards using PowerBI, Google Looker, and Databricks to track loan processing times, underwriting productivity, and vendor SLAs.
  • Reporting Support: Produce regular, high-quality visual reports that translate raw data into actionable insights for Operations Managers and team leads.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Assist in the tracking of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to flag potential fraud and ensure operational adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Process Optimization: Identify manual data pulls that are ripe for automation; actively contribute to the long-term goal of achieving 100% automated reporting workflows.
  • Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Senior Specialist on large-scale initiatives, providing technical support and ensuring the integrity of the data governance framework.

So are YOU our next Specialist, Operations Enablement Reporting.? You are if you have…

  • Education: University Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Engineering).
  • Years of Experience: Approximately 2 to 4 years of experience in data analytics or reporting.
  • Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in PowerBI, Google Looker, and Microsoft Excel. Experience or familiarity with Databricks and Collibra is a significant asset.
  • Data Visualization: A strong ability to create clean, intuitive reports that communicate information clearly and without clutter.
  • Data Logic: Ability to work with "messy" data, applying the logic required to clean and normalize it for reporting purposes.
  • Effective Communicator: Ability to explain technical data nuances to non-technical stakeholders and internal partners.
  • Builder Mindset: A proactive professional who enjoys improving existing systems and building more efficient reporting tools.

Compensation Information:

  • Base salary range: $55,000 - $75,000
  • The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
