About Smitty’s
Smitty's™ is one of Canada's largest all-day family restaurant chains, operating from coast to coast. Our dining rooms are particularly popular among families with small children, seniors, and travelers. Almost all of our restaurants are fully licensed and a majority of them have separate lounges to accommodate teams, sports fans, and the happy hour crowd.
From our very first patrons at our first restaurant in Calgary in 1960, to anyone joining us today, Smitty's™ has always been an integral part of your community. On opening day, guests lined up and waited for more than two hours to get in through the door to enjoy some of our signature buttermilk pancakes! Smitty's was an instant hit! And, more than 60 years later, Smitty's™ continues to build on the success of the first day because our franchisees operate their locally-owned restaurants as dedicated members of your community, and have been vital to our growth and success.
