Description What you’ll be doing
Are you looking to turn your passion into purpose? York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Alberta, and Ottawa. We are looking for 30 March Break Camp Volunteers—people who are devoted to giving back to their communities and making an impact.
March Break Camp Volunteers Will Be Responsible For: ► Participating in fun and engaging activities with campers aged 5-12
► Working in a team of 30 with other volunteers to support the curriculum delivery for over 120 campers
► Creating a welcoming environment
► Arriving at camp on time every day and sharing positive energy with everyone

Richmond Hill: Doncrest Public School (confirmed)
Markham: Stonebridge Public School (confirmed)
Markham: Angus Glen Library (confirmed)
Markham: Unionville Library (confirmed)
Markham: Markham Office: 3100 Steeles Avenue East
Date & Time: March 16-20, 2026
Shift 1: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (half day)
Shift 2: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM (half day)
Shift 3: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Full day)
Benefits: ► Volunteer hours count toward OSSD (High School Graduation)
► Build transferable soft skills like leadership, teamwork, and communication
► Gain Experience And Skills That Are Resumé-worthy ► Free training
► Free networking opportunities
Who We're Looking For: ✔ Minimum age: 12
✔ Able to independently arrive to work on time
✔ Passionate about volunteering and excited to learn
✔ Can commit to scheduled time of event
✔ Fluency in English
✔ Highly organized, detail-orientated and capable of managing multiple tasks
Bonus Skills: ✔ Previous experience in event planning and coordinating
✔ Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English considered an asset
