Job Summary Plans activities for the Engineering and Maintenance Department, at a pharmaceutical facility, while supports and maintains the parts/tooling inventory, CMMS, and documentation systems. Utilizes the CMMS and ERP to coordinate and manage parts ordering, and the PM/Work order program.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Champions the work order and proactive maintenance program for the site, by leading the optimization initiatives to the process and tasks to deliver improved plant efficiencies.
- Works closely with the scheduling, maintenance, and vendor teams to create and communicate the ongoing maintenance schedules and plans.
- Manages all activities related to the CMMS program, including training, user and asset management as well as activities related optimization to the processes and workflows.
- Tracks compliance and generate reports related to purchases, work orders, and PMs
- Works with vendors in various disciplines to source parts and services, creates purchase requisitions on JDE, then provides purchase orders for approved purchases.
- Manages, maintains and optimizes maintenance inventory system, including facilities, tooling, setup components, equipment and parts.
- Generates, updates and maintains, documentation related to technical services including, but not limited to maintenance/facilities service records and activities, SOPs, facility CAD layouts as well as change control.
- Oversee stock replenishment by setting stock levels, tracking activities compliance, as well as sourcing and ordering parts.
- Works closely with the plant engineers, quality assurance team, maintenance technicians and other cross functional teams to support procurement of parts/services and PM task improvements while supporting corrective action plans.
- Performs all tasks in compliance with GMP and GDP practices.
- Oversee services from contractors on site completing facility and asset repairs.
- Manages the security card access system and contractor compliance database
- Generates, tracks and reports on Maintenance KPIs
- Contribute to achieving Lean Goals and continuous improvement.
- Supports initiatives related to asset validation and calibration
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge / Experience Required To Perform The Job
- College, extensive experience, or University Engineering graduate in either Mechanical or Electrical disciplines is mandatory.
- Fluent in English and must be able to utilize effective communication with internal and external resources.
- Experience in an industrial maintenance setting, AutoCAD, JDE and CMMS systems is considered an asset.
- Proficient in using MS office Software such as Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Technical aptitude and high attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of GMP processes, and requirements to maintain a GMP facility.
- Able to work independently within a budget, and to achieve timelines for work completion.
- Minimum of one year’s experience working in a production or GMP/pharmaceutical environment, with a preference for pharmaceutical experience.
- Ability to follow and implement directions.
