Prepare store layouts based on the Prototypical Formats, Divisional Merchandise Strategy and Store Specific data for all resets, remodels and various Capital Initiative Projects. Participate in yearly workshops with Merchandising team and various cross-functional partners to create store layouts that are consistent to the strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with multiple cross functional teams including Merchandising, Space Planning, MET, Construction and Maintenance to drive merchandising strategies.
  • Prepare store layouts following the established process for prototypical formats, non-prototypical formats, remodels and various Initiatives based on Division and Merchant strategy
  • Attend weekly cross functional team meetings in person
  • Assist in preparation and participate in yearly workshops for all Merchandising departments
  • Assist in maintaining Standard Prototypical Store Layouts, Bay Count and Lineal information by department
  • Reviews and actions all Compass project issues for store specific projects
  • Strong understanding of Merchandising Flow and understanding on Retail Space planning
  • Coordinate non-merchandised fixture orders for new stores, remodels and Capital Initiative projects
  • Follows all Department CAD Systems and CAD Standards when creating layouts
  • Participate in Store Walks of existing stores to ensure lay-outs, space and proposals are captured appropriately
  • Partners with 3rd Party CAD Resource team on Store Planning Process and best practices
  • Partner with Atlanta Store Planning team on Standards and Best Practices
  • Assist in managing timelines and deliverables to meet all deadlines

Skills:

  • Must have a high sense of urgency and strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Windows - Excel and Access
  • Strong AutoCAD 2023 skills

  • Strong Plan Reading Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal)
  • Previous Retail experience and an understanding of Store Operations
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong ability to influence and direct third party vendors and demonstrated success at partnering with cross-functional teams across a complex organization

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • Reports to Senior Manager, Store Planning

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel to SSC and stores as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles

Hybrid Work:

  • Remote
  • Travel to store locations as needed

Working Conditions:

Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree/diploma or combination of equivalent work experience in a field of study related to the job.

Minimum Years of Work Experience:

  • 5 years work experience in Store Planning and project management

  • N/A
