Our Team Client Finance Analyst (CFA) is responsible for completing the billing cycle and collections for a dedicated portfolio of clients. The CFA will also be responsible for relevant reporting relating to billing and collections. The CFA is a pivotal role within the finance function not only because of the critical impact it has on operations but also as a key interface between multiple stakeholders (Commercial Ops Team, Buy Enablement Team, and the client). This role reports to the Client Finance Manager.
Responsibilities Billing and collections:
- Receive the billing requests from Commercial Ops Team and review before processing.
- Ensure that all billing requests are entered and completed in the system in a timely manner.
- Run the Accent Report the next day to check the accuracy of the billing.
- Verify Global Search to ensure billing invoices have been uploaded. Escalate to the Senior Billing Analyst if any issues.
- Prepare necessary reports to accompany billing packages (billing summary, statement of accounts, invoice PFD files).
- Confirm the billing with the Commercial Ops requester.
- Send invoices to client via email or using various platforms such as Ariba, Taulia, or Coupa depending on client requirements/specifications.
- Collect outstanding receivables by invoice due dates and send follow ups to clients where necessary.
- Coordinate with media and Buy Enablement Team for support in billing-related discrepancies and purchase-order issues.
- Synchronize with related departments (client, Commercial Ops & Buy Enablement Teams) for any revised billing.
- Monitor Account Receivables and Cash receipts throughout the month.
- Send monthly Statement of Accounts to client.
- Provide Client Finance Manager with weekly Accounts Receivable status updates.
Month end Reporting:
- Assist Client Finance Manager with any inquiries on month end variance analysis on year over year AR balances and Unbilled Media balances.
- Provide commentary on collections status for AR balances (MODA REPORT).
Audits:
- Support with Audits and ensure backups of client invoices are provided in a timely manner.
General:
- Assist with Ad hoc reporting and projects
- Find efficiency and automation opportunities in the role.
- Run specific reports as required by client/Commerical Ops/Buy Enablement Teams
What YOU Bring
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business or related.
- 1-2 years of work experience (data entry, accounts receivable, collections, customer service).
- Excellent excel skills (V-lookups, Pivot Tables, Basis formulas) Macros/VBA is considered an asset.
- Previous experience with DDS Systems (Mediaocean) is considered an asset.
- Client service and teamwork attitude.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to a new process.
- Fluent English (Written/Verbal).
