Job Title: Plant Controller Industry Sector: Food Manufacturing Salary: $135,000-$160,000 Location: Mississauga -in office 5 days/week Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality products, partnering with businesses locally and internationally to develop customized solutions for a variety of food applications. About The Role This position is ideal for the ambitious Plant Controller who wants to take ownership of the function and be able to not only provide financial oversight into our production facility, but work closely with the Operations Team. You will help launch new processes and systems to increase efficiency, while identifying and helping to implement cost-savings opportunities. Your strengths will be in inventory, pricing, costing and creating efficiencies. You will also have demonstrated experience with ERP system, leading month-end close and strengthen plant financial controls.
Responsibilities Include
- Oversee costing (BOMs, standard costs, COGS) and product profitability.
- Manage CapEx, fixed assets, budgeting, forecasting, and expense analysis.
- Monitor raw material contracts, pricing strategy, and margin forecasts.
- Ensure strong inventory controls and reduce variances.
- Support ERP implementation and system integrity.
- Contribute to S&OP, labor and overhead modeling, and KPI reporting.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and support audits and strategic projects.
Qualifications
- CPA with a minimum of 8 years plant controllership /manufacturing industry experience
- Experience working in mid -large ERP systems. Implementation experience a definite asset.
- Demonstrated experience with costing, inventory, pricing and creating KPI’s.
- Experience working in a small team and growing company.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – you must be able to speak finance to non finance ppl.
