Highlights of this opportunity:
- Developing financial models including new product costing and working with our brand managers and commercial sales team to optimize our innovation activities
- Review and validate assumptions within financial models and business cases ensuring alignment with cross functional partners
- Lead all facets of the innovation and marketing finance functions, including financial analysis of business performance, cost saving opportunities, budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision making support
- Development of dashboards, metrics and reports that support our marketing leaders to drive sustainable profitable growth of our branded portfolio
- Performing post-mortem analysis of innovation activities to identify optimization and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate with the marketing team and the finance leadership in the development of annual operating plans and forecasts
- Contribute and support the formulation of brand/category initiatives and strategies
- Take charge of ad-hoc projects and analysis to evaluate opportunities and mitigate operational risks, for effective strategic decision-making
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Mindset of innovation and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, math, data science or related fields
- CPA designation or in the process of obtaining it is preferred, but not required
- Strong commercial finance acumen with proven ability to partner with cross functionals to make a positive impact on business strategy.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance and/or consulting
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment supporting inventory and costing
- Proficiency in data management, including preparation, analysis and interpretation of financial information
- Hands-on experience using data/ analytics dashboards (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, etc)
- Strong Excel skills and experience using promotional management tools will be an asset
Notes:
- This role reports into the Supply Chain Finance Director and interacts closely with the AVP Finance, & CFO
- This position is based out of our HQ in Richmond, BC - 4 days a week in the office is required.
- Base salary range is: $90,000 - $105,000 plus bonus
