As a Co-op Student, you’ll assist with electrical engineering initiatives, provide technical support, and develop technical drawings and bills of materials for Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar equipment.
For this position, the expected hourly rate is between $26 and $28 per hour.
Job Description:
- Learn and understand all the CAT engines and generator set offerings both in Diesel and Natural gas along with sub-systems.
- Develop technical drawings and bills of material as assigned based on the discipline of expertise and project requirements.
- Design assemblies, parts or systems as defined to meet customers scope and requirements.
- Liaison with internal and external suppliers/clients to develop solutions.
- Provide engineering staff drafting support and perform misc. technical and routine tasks.
- Determine system operating parameters/requirements for Caterpillar and non caterpillar equipment.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Work on CAD drawings and technical documentation.
- Support engineering staff with drafting and design tasks.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with suppliers.
- Update bills of material and maintain project records.
Requirements:
- Completed 3rd year of Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering at a Canadian university.
- Proficient in CAD software and MS Office.
- Knowledge of Inventor and Solid Works.
- Understanding of thermal and flow dynamics.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Important:
- This position is based out of our Surrey office.
- Temporary Co-Op term 8 months.
- Monday – Friday, 5x2 schedule.
