We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality initiatives and share our vision of excellence locally and globally.
Skills & Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS) with ISO 9001:2015, TSSA requirements, and customer-specific standards.
- Manage and conduct internal and external audits in accordance with ISO 9001 and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct and participate in ISO 9001 Audits/TSSA Audits.
- Develop and maintain procedures, standards, and testing methods for product inspection, verification, and validation.
- Ensure all products meet ASME B16.5 (flanges and fittings) and ASME B31.1/B31.3 (process piping) standards, as well as customer and legal requirements.
- Develop ASME Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs), Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), and oversee Welder Qualifications.
- Oversee and maintain quality assurance policies, documentation, and calibration records.
- Evaluate and continuously improve the effectiveness of the QMS and inspection systems.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Manage customer complaints, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective measures.
- Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across all departments.
- Supervise, train, and support quality control personnel, ensuring high performance and accountability.
- Provide hands-on problem-solving support to production and engineering teams on the shop floor.
- Responsible for the liaison and maintaining the Inspection Contract or agreement with the Authorized Inspection Agency (TSSA) for all required inspections.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies (e.g., ISO 9001, TSSA) and customers during inspections and audits.
- Perform additional duties as required to support operational and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of practical experience in quality assurance/control within a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Proven experience maintaining compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and TSSA requirements.
- Working knowledge of ASME B16.5, ASME B31.1, B31.3, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Knowledge of ASME BPVC Sec. II, IV, VIII, IX, CSA B51 and Technical Safety and Standards Authority (TSSA) Quality Program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Effective communicator with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficient with MS and quality management software tools.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience and ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality excellence.
This is a full-time permanent position in our Sarnia facility.
Salary: $85,000 – $105,000 annually
