We are currently recruiting for 1 Full Time Project Manager. This is a new role within the organization
Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Programs Officer, the Project Manager is responsible for leading project management initiatives within program areas. This includes leading program work with the City of Toronto for areas including the Youth Strategy Table, First Connect Project, and Toronto Youth Cabinet. The role will also support by leading emerging provincial work to expand our Youth Reconnect Project and other project management duties as deemed necessary by leadership in alignment with the agency’s strategic priorities. While the role reports directly to the Chief Program Officer for administrative and functional oversight, there is also a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Director of Communications to ensure alignment on any government relations activities.
Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee government-funded initiatives, pilot projects and internal growth projects, in alignment with CHT’s strategic priorities

Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of projects and initiatives
-
Develop project charters, work plans, timelines, budgets and structure to program project
-
Ensure deliverables are met within projected timelines and align with funding agreements and organizational priorities

Serve as primary contact for government partners and internal/external stakeholders in relations to projects
-
Foster strong relationships with community partners to support collaborative project delivery
-
Prepare and present progress updates, reports and outcomes to stakeholders
-
Collaborate with necessary stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of new projects or programs
-
Coordinate cross-departmental input and resource allocation to support project delivery
-
Provide guidance and oversight to required internal and external stakeholders
-
Establish and track performance indicators, ensuring data is collected, analyzed and used for continuous improvement
-
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
-
Ensure compliance with funder requirements, government regulations and organizational policies
-
Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
-
Post-secondary degree in project management, social services, business administration or a related field
-
3-5 years minimum work experience in project management, preferably in the non-profit sector
-
Strong knowledge of government funding processes, compliance and reporting
-
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines
-
Experience working with vulnerable or marginalized populations, particularly youth, considered an asset
-
Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
-
Working knowledge of trauma-informed practices and principles
-
PMP or similar certification is an asset
