About the role

The National Life, Disability & Wellness Team is looking for a self-motivated Benefits Calculation Analyst, who thrives on delivering value, is customer-obsessed, and excited to work with a small yet dynamic team. You will have good understanding of group disability contract language, and the impact various sources of income have on disability benefits.

Responsibilities

Calculate and code offsets and the adjusted Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD) benefit in internal system (Navigator). Inform Plan Member of the overpayment amount with clear explanations both verbally and in writing. Follow-up with Plan Member for reimbursement of overpayment and negotiate an acceptable repayment plan when necessary. Proceed with claim recoveries in Navigator .

Qualifications

Strong customer service focus; ability to be empathetic while delivering sometimes difficult messages. Experience in disability benefit calculations. Strong mathematical skills. Proficiency in MS Office suite (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word). Able to read and interpret group insurance contracts and apply their provisions. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure. Open to change and continuous improvement. Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec. Experience with Navigator is an asset.

Referenced Salary Location

CAN, Ontario - Full Time Remote Working Arrangement Remote Salary range is expected to be between $39 225,00 CAD - $65 375,00 CAD Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
