The team designs, builds, and integrates electrical and automation solutions across plant operations, including process control, water systems, equipment and building control, backup generation, grain handling, feed milling, and food distribution systems. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Journeyman Electrician role based in Three Hills, AB. The Journeyman Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial facilities, following applicable codes and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring panels and components, performing routine inspections, and assisting with the integration of automation and control systems. The role will also involve diagnosing electrical issues, completing corrective repairs, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification. The Journeyman Electrician is expected to maintain accurate documentation, uphold safe work practices, and provide input on continuous improvement of electrical and control systems. Qualifications Strong knowledge of electricity principles and applied electrical theory for industrial environments. Demonstrated experience in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and commissioning of systems and equipment. Proficiency in maintenance & repair of electrical components, panels, motors, and control devices. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical and control issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions. Understanding of basic electrical engineering concepts related to industrial power and control systems. Valid Journeyman Electrician certification (or Red Seal) and eligibility to work in Alberta. Familiarity with Canadian Electrical Code and relevant safety regulations; strong commitment to safe work practices. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation. Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings, especially with automation and control systems, is an asset. Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team, and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
