Position Details
The University of Lethbridge, International Centre requires a full-time Administrative Support position to commence work as soon as possible.
Reporting to the Executive Director of International and taking direction from the Manager of the English Language Institute, the position supports the English Language Institute (ELI) and provides reception duties for the International Centre.
Duties:

Providing information, advice, and making appropriate referrals to students, potential students, and visitors regarding university, International, and ELI programs.

Responding to initial inquiries about ELI programs and preparing general correspondence.

Maintaining accurate records.

Maintaining communication with prospective ELI students throughout the application process, from first contact to arrival and registration.

Engaging in routine communication with external stakeholders such as third-party homestay providers, International’s institutional partners overseas, and educational agents responsible for recruiting international students.

Communicating important program information and university deadlines to prospective and current ELI students.

Preparing ELI program confirmation and completion letters for students, chaperones, and volunteers.

Providing event support, including scheduling, volunteer coordination, ensuring promotional efforts are current, pre-event setup, and support during events.

Planning and delivering non-instructional activities and presentations for ELI students, such as hosting play cafes and preparing and delivering informational presentations during New ELI Student Orientation.

Developing print and digital promotional materials and communications for ELI Programs and specific initiatives.
Position Qualifications

Experience in providing administrative support, including in-person, telephone, and e-mail communication, making booking and logistical arrangements, managing lists and records, and basic event coordination support.

Communication skills, including intercultural communication skills and written and oral communication skills.

The ability to multitask.

The ability to work independently within a team structure.

The ability to communicate at a professional level in a language other than English would be an asset.

Knowledge of the university and community would be an asset.
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$3,741.00 - $4,163.00 monthly
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$3,741.00 - $4,584.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 7)
