What is the opportunity?
We’re looking for an Associate Advisor to join our team and work directly with two Portfolio Managers, someone who’s passionate about building meaningful client relationships, loves the markets, and is excited to help drive our business forward.
In this role, you’ll be the team’s head trader and a key partner in investment analysis, working closely with us to ensure every client experience is seamless, thoughtful, and supported by strong investment insight. You’ll be our right hand helping us deliver trusted advice, deepen existing relationships, and welcome new clients to the firm.
What you'll do:
- Lead trading and portfolio rebalancing activities across client accounts.
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Managers to plan and facilitate client meetings and events from agenda preparation to post-meeting execution.
- Conduct market and investment research, providing insights and recommendations that help guide portfolio decisions.
- Deliver proactive, high-quality client service and help identify new opportunities for growth.
- Support the team with business planning, client segmentation, and the ongoing delivery of our service model.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC
- Successful completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course or Investment Management Techniques (IMT)
- A university degree and 5+ years of experience in the investment industry
- Proven trading experience and a strong grasp of investment analytics
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills — and a keen eye for detail
- A genuine passion for client care and teamwork
Nice-to-have
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Highly developed client service skills
