Position: Physics Subject Matter Expert
Type: Contract Compensation: $65–$75/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 15–20 hours/week Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate asynchronously with a team of experts in Physics.
- Craft, solve, and review challenging problems with real-world applicability.
- Elevate the quality of AI models by integrating domain expertise.
- Work independently to improve AI model performance.
- Ensure high-quality outputs in Physics through rigorous problem-solving.
Qualifications Must-Have
- Master's or PhD in Physics from a top US university.
- Experience coding in Python and MATLAB for projects or research.
- Field-specific experience in Condensed Matter Physics, Optics, Quantum Information/Computing, Computational Physics, Astrophysics, Particle Physics.
- High attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent proficiency in English.
- Based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia.
Start Date
- Late December; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
Interview Process
- Short interview to assess domain expertise.
- Paid for up to 1 hour of onboarding time, including screening and onboarding videos.
Compensation & Legal
- Legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor.
