In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications ensuring they are robust and high performing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including client partners, project managers, designers, and developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Create and maintain high-quality mobile applications natively for iOS (Swift, Swift UI) and Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose) Translate product requirements and UX designs into performant, maintainable, and scalable mobile architectures on both platforms. Own architecture decisions including state management, navigation, dependency injection, modularization, and offline data strategy (e.g., MVVM/MVI, Room/SwiftData/Core Data, Combine/Coroutines & Flow). Build and maintain reusable UI components and design systems using Jetpack Compose and Swift UI. Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to integrate user-facing features and backend services. Integrate RESTful/GraphQL APIs, SDKs, and third-party services (analytics, push notifications, payments, authentication, etc.). Debug, profile, and resolve performance issues using platform-native tooling (Xcode Instruments, Android Studio Profiler). Conduct performance tuning across memory, battery, rendering (jank/frame drops), app startup time, and network efficiency. Write unit, UI, and integration tests (XCTest/XCUITest, JUnit/Espresso/Compose Testing) to ensure application quality and stability. Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployment (Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or similar). Manage the end-to-end release process, including code signing, provisioning profiles, App Store Connect, and Google Play Console submissions. Monitor production applications using crash reporting and observability tools (Crashlytics, Sentry, Xcode Organizer, Android Vitals) and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA to deliver high-quality releases on schedule. Mentor junior and mid-level developers, and contribute to engineering best practices, code reviews, and technical documentation. Stay current with platform updates (iOS/Android OS releases, Swift/Kotlin language evolution, Apple/Google design and API guidelines) and evaluate their impact on existing applications. Maintain thorough documentation of the development process, codebase, and APIs. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering technical growth and best practices.
Required Qualifications: Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in Mobile development in which minimum 4 years of experience each in Kotlin and Swift. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
Technical Skills: Experience developing and debugging Android applications with Kotlin and Java. Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG/Apple & Android accessibility guidelines) for mobile. Strong proficiency in Swift and Swift UI (also familiar with UI Kit for legacy/interop scenarios). Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose (also familiar with the legacy Android View system for legacy/interop scenarios). Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns: MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, and modularized app design. Working knowledge of RESTful API integration, JSON parsing, networking libraries (URLSession/Alamofire, Retrofit/Ktor), and authentication flows (OAuth2, token refresh, biometric auth). Experience with local persistence and offline-first design (Core Data/SwiftData, Room, SQLite, or similar). Experience with unit and UI test automation (XCTest, XCUITest, JUnit, Espresso, Compose UI testing). Experience with concurrency and reactive/async patterns — Combine/Swift Concurrency (async/await) on iOS and Kotlin Coroutines/Flow on Android. Experience with popular libraries like Retrofit, OkHttp, Dagger2 or Hilt Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows (branching strategies, code review, trunk-based development or Gitlow). Hands-on experience with the full build, sign, and release pipeline: iOS: Xcode, code signing, provisioning profiles, TestFlight, App Store Connect submission and review process. Android: Gradle build system, keystore/signing configs, Play Console, staged rollouts, and Play App Signing. Understanding of mobile security best practices (secure storage, certificate pinning, OWASP Mobile Top 10 awareness). Experience publishing app(s) in the Google Play Store and Apple Appstore Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues across the network, application, and OS layers.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Good written and verbal communication skills
