About the role
What you'll do
As a Product Owner for mobile apps, you will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog for Canadian Tire’s mobile app. You will report directly into the Product Manager, Mobile Apps and work closely with other product owners, developers, and designers to ensure the successful delivery of features that enhance user experience and drive engagement.
In this role, you'll do:

Roadmap Delivery: Collaborate with the Product Manager to understand and execute the product vision and strategy.

User Story Writing: Translate high-level product requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.

Prioritization: Act as a product lead to prioritize features, make decisions during sprints, and ensure that delivered work meets the defined acceptance criteria.

Production Support: Act as a product lead when addressing production issues for features within your portfolio
-
Go to Market: Coordinate and develop go-to-market strategies that support feature releases where necessary.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, data syndication, merchandising, other product managers, and UX/UI to deliver high-quality mobile app solutions.

Performance Monitoring & Data Analysis: Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), user behavior data, and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.

A/B Testing: Assist in designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B tests to optimize search features and ensure data-driven decision-making.

Agile Development: Lead agile development processes by writing clear user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring timely delivery of product increments.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices for iOS and Android to become a mobile app SME.
Technical Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the squad to ensure technical alignment with product goals.

Utilize tools such as Jira to track progress, manage backlogs, and Confluence to manage product artifacts.

Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to facilitate Agile processes.
-
Analyze technical trade-offs and make informed decisions in collaboration with engineering teams.
-
Ensure robust documentation of technical requirements and user stories.
Data Analysis Responsibilities:

Use data analytics tools to analyze product performance metrics.
-
Generate insights from data to drive product decisions and optimizations.
-
Present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders for continuous improvement.
What you bring
-
Minimum of 3-4 years of product management experience.
-
Experience working in native mobile apps for iOS and Android.
-
Experience with App & Play Store release management, Apple’s HiG and Google’s Material Design.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
-
Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools.
-
Hands-on experience with A/B testing methodologies and tools.
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
-
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
-
Experience working in Agile methodologies. SAFe agile is a plus.
Nice to Haves
-
Experience with Firebase, Google Analytics or New Relic.

Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
-
Hands-on technical experience developing native mobile apps.
