About the role

Company Description

The Distribution Partner Manager’s (DPM) main priority is driving Red Bull initiatives and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while delivering best in class execution throughout their market, in partnership with the local Distribution Partner.

Key responsibilities include communicating and managing strategic priorities, ensuring implementation of merchandising standards, tracking and measuring KPI execution, monitoring sales/POS progress against business plans and working with Operations to ensure the right POS is available for the market. The DPM will coach and develop the distribution partner in line with RBCA expectation to Look like the #1 beverage brand available across all channels of trade. The DPM will be responsible for VIP (independent convenience) programming, in addition to driving and monitoring distribution incentive programming.

Job Description

DRIVE BEST IN CLASS EXECUTION

Drive Red Bull Perfect Store conditions to Win vs Competition in the market.

Create relevant incentive programming to drive performance and engage the ASM.

Effectively leverage data from Distribution Reporting to attack opportunity.

Drive and deliver the Volume Incentive Program (VIP), to ensure program expansion and compliance.

Collaborate with the DP to deliver against Reach/ new store opening initiatives.

Audit Sub-DP markets 2x per year.

Promotional Compliance – ensure agreed promotions/ placements are executed in full.

Work with DP’s to execute against HQ commitments in line with Red Bull merchandising standards.

Secure/ improve in-store presence of the Red Bull brand.

Wire sell with the key regional strategic accounts to drive efficient execution and in–store conditions.

Collaboratively work with the Field Marketing to leverage additional resourcing to drive efficiencies for in market execution.

COACH AND DEVELOP

Assists in development of training materials to ensure Distributor Sales Representatives clearly understand merchandising standards (i.e. product flow, SKU priorities by channel, segmentation, display merchandising, pricing, etc.)

Maintains strong working knowledge of all Red Bull and Distributor systems (Workbench and Collaboration, Nielsen, fleet routing software, etc.)

Conduct power route rides with ASMs and DSMs.

Integrate and coach local SBMs on opportunities to drive sales in the collegiate landscape.

Train and consistently communicate with 3rd party field auditors to ensure competency and accuracy of PSA/WvC audits.

PLANNING

Consistently communicate with DP field personnel to guarantee alignment and focus on the daily/weekly/monthly priorities.

Develop annual business plans to drive distribution, volume, and ROI.

Initiate plans to drive KPI execution and drive accountability both internally and with distribution partners.

Meet with DP leadership to conduct Monthly/ Quarterly Business Reviews. Review plans, commitments, and progress.

Plan, build, and lead relevant seasonal trade-blitzes to capture key peak volume opportunities.

CONSULTATIVE

Act as a trusted advisor in turning RBCA planning into DP execution. Lead with confidence and credibility.

Understands distributor’s internal systems, structure, hierarchy, and foster relationships from owner to sales representatives.

Institutionalizes a credible and constructive relationship through adding value.

Be a credible contributor to the local cell team.

Bring the brand to life by championing the World of Red Bull mentality and mindset at the distributor.

Communicates and share best practices across RBCA, RBCD, 3rd Party DPs and external distribution network.

Consistently promotes the use of tools, resources, and programs available to the DPs.

INSIGHTS ACTIVATOR

Perform ongoing market analysis with respect to volume, distribution, product and distributor competition.

Identify areas of opportunity for DP, and use insights to action for DP improvement.

Work with Category and commercial data team to identify and action market opportunity.

Interpret and evaluate key data pain-points compiled from Business Insights reporting.

Able to analyze and advise DPs on optimal route to market strategy.

Market-immersed to become the resource and expert for competitor intel and counter strategy recommendations in their local area.

Qualifications

Outstanding sales experience and track record in Consumer Goods industry (Bev. Preferred), +5 years.

Distributor and Supplier experience preferred.

Ability to lead, manage and motivate distribution partners with experience, +3 years.

Strong communication and motivational skills.

Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.

Clear and proven ability to develop and implement successful sales and trade marketing strategies.

Experience in leading training and development sessions.

Ability to work independently and responsibly; strong organizational skills.

Driver’s License.

University - Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Fluent in French and English.
