About the role

Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and operational management of Banff EMS in collaboration with Mineral Springs Hospital leadership. Ensure effective integration of EMS and hospital services to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Fire, RCMP, Parks Canada, and other regional health and emergency services partners. Oversee and support day-to-day EMS operations and contribute to hospital operational needs as required. Lead and participate in strategic planning to advance Covenant Health’s mission, vision, and values within the Bow Valley region. Promote team engagement, professional development, and a culture of safety for staff and patients. Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:

Current active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) – Healthcare Provider certification. Minimum of five years of leadership experience in EMS. Strong knowledge of emergency medical services in a complex environment. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, paramedicine, or a related field. Minimum of five years of leadership experience in EMS. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. Proven skills in operational management, strategic planning, and staff engagement.
