Job Title: Line Cook – Japanese/Chinese Cuisine (All You Can Eat Restaurant)
Location: August 8, Toronto DT location

About Us:
We are a fast-paced, high-energy Japanese/Chinese all-you-can-eat restaurant dedicated to delivering fresh, flavorful dishes in a dynamic dining environment. From sushi and teppanyaki to classic stir-fries and dumplings, we offer a wide range of traditional and modern Asian cuisine. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our back-of-house team.
Job Summary:
As a Line Cook, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes and standards. You'll work closely with our kitchen team to ensure that every plate is made with consistency, accuracy, and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese and Chinese dishes including sushi, grilled items, noodles, stir-fries, and appetizers
- Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperature and presented neatly
- Follow standardized recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized station throughout the shift
- Monitor food stock and communicate shortages or needs
- Comply with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
- Assist in prep work, restocking, and kitchen cleaning as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a line cook, preferably in Asian cuisine
- Strong knife skills and ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Familiarity with sushi prep, wok cooking, or teppanyaki is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
