About the role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Shopify Developer with 3to5 years of proven experience in designing developing and implementing robust integrations for Shopify e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Shopifys ecosystem and APIs with a demonstrable track record of successfully connecting Shopify stores with various third-party systems and services. This role requires a collaborative individual with excellent communication skills who thrives in a dynamic.
Responsibilities
Designs develops and implements new software features modifications to existing software and complex integrations between Shopify stores and external systems (e.g. ERP CRM marketing automation payment gateways fulfillment services).
Collaborates with business analysts product owners and other developers to define integration requirements and technical specifications.
Writes clean efficient and well-documented code adhering to best practices and company standards.
Creates and executes comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and functionality meets requirements.
Works closely with QA teams to resolve issues identified during testing phases.
Contributes to the architectural design of integrations and may lead the design of less complex components.
Creates reviews and maintains all necessary technical documentation related to assigned integrations and software.
Assists in identifying and evaluating short-term and long-term solution options including conducting risk assessments for integration projects.
Participates actively in project planning sessions providing design options work breakdowns and accurate estimates for development tasks.
Provides timely status updates on individual responsibilities within projects to supervisors and team members.
Actively participates in team meetings brainstorming sessions and code reviews.
Develops software using disciplined software development processes adhering to team/company standards software best practice guidelines and corporate policies.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $83,500/Year to $95,500/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
