What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting the Regional Manager (Eastern Region), Administrative Services, you will provide a full range of administrative support services for the Business Office. You will provide superior customer service to all clients.

Duties will include all aspects of processing accounts payables for the campus, including matching invoices with receiving reports, coding invoices with account numbers, processing invoices for payment on a timely basis, checking statements on a monthly basis, document filing and maintaining an organized work area. This position also processes incoming mail, posts journal vouchers, provides frontline support to customers responding to questions (primarily regarding student accounts), cashiering duties and switchboard coverage.

You will also provide support to ancillary business and/or campus operations when required (including but not limited to bookstore, campus/college events, accounts receivable functions, etc.).

Qualifications and Occupational Experience

The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Administrative Professional/Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years' (full-time equivalent) recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience. You have demonstrated experience working in accounts payables. Experience with accounts receivable and collections of overdue accounts would be considered an asset. Ability to reconcile cash and use point-of-sale systems for debit transactions. Occupational experience that includes front desk duties would be considered an asset. Experience as a cashier or relevant finance experience would be considered an asset. Strong demonstrated computer literacy skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Teams, with a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience with SharePoint and PeopleSoft, or a similar ERP system, would be considered an asset. You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work. Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.
