The Senior Business / Applications Analyst is primarily responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting detailed business and technical requirements and user stories to guide software development. The individual will also play an important role in coordinating and performing user acceptance testing and ensuring the software meets the needs of our clients. The individual will work very closely with the developer and quality assurance team members to ensure high quality delivery of TAI products in coordination with Release Management.
As a member of the Product Management team, this position will ensure TAI has a firm grasp of industry needs and their application in TAI software products. While this role will be primarily focused on internal projects, this role also supports external projects to guide and support custom features requested by clients.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and detail oriented, with an aptitude for understanding and translating complex business and user needs, skilled in user testing with a strong eye for user experience.
Principle Duties
- Lead development, validation, documentation, and maintenance of business and functional requirements and conduct structured walkthroughs of requirements with project team members. Often responsible for large, complex and/or cross-functional efforts.
- Gather business requirements; develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and test plans; execute testing, and document results.
- Formulate recommendations and solutions with attention to industry needs, capabilities and limitations. Present findings and suggestions to created flexible solutions within the software.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure consistency in design and functionality
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and end-users to ensure requirements are understood and met.
- Maintain clear and concise user documentation and training material, improving the user experience processes.
- Responsible for the coordination and management of communications to impacted and interested parties with respect to implementation of process or systems changes.
- Execute assigned tasks according to requirements, while following software development lifecycle processes to complete tasks within a defined timeframe.
- Collect information about the business needs through a variety of methods – documentation, meetings, and participating in discovery.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent work experience - Required
- Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) - Preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of IT related experience, such as Business Systems Analysis or Systems Analysis. - Required
- General business knowledge and application support aptitude. Demonstrates working membership of Agile/Iterative project team in the role of business analyst - Required

Compensation Range:
$97,450.00 - $97,450.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
