PermanentProcess operator to join the Alberta Envirofuels team.
THE POSITION
Keyera is currently seeking a Process Operator to join our Alberta EnviroFuels Facility (KAEF). As a valuable member of the Alberta EnviroFuels Operations Team and reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for performing junior / intermediate level operating assignments on plant equipment and maintenance of a safe working environment within the facility.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Participate in the facility work functions as a team member with a focus on internal and external customer service.
- Operate the facility in a safe, economical, and efficient manner using quality principles.
- Exemplify values that are consistent with the cultural standard that Keyera has set.
- Run laboratory analysis on various process streams for better control of operation.
- Troubleshoot process issues in a team environment. Operate the DCS while considering several process variables
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or Certificate in Power Engineering from an accredited institution
- Experience working as a unit or control room operator in a steam powered facility, petrochemical plant, gas plant, or refinery and preference will be given to those with 4 or more years’ experience.
- A valid 3rd Class inter-provincial steam ticket with a strong commitment to complete the 2nd Class Inter-provincial Power Engineering Certificate
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment
- Self-starter who is able to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Strong team player with proven communication, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Highly organized, reliable individual with attention to detail
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG and First Aid Certificates would be an asset.
- At the sole discretion of management, other combinations of directly relevant experience and educational credentials will be considered.
